LAKE MARTIN HOME
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The design is for a new two-story lake house residence located on Lake Martin, Alabama. The task was to use the context of the owner, contractor, and geographical location to design the home to the owners preference.
The design depended on the team of designers to pay attention to the details of the location of the lake and the unique style of the owner. A task to be completed included an open atrium from the ground floor open to below to the bottom floor.
Mr. Greg Sellers wants his home to be a quiet retreat for him and his dog as well as a place to entertain family and friends. Because his home is situated on a lake surrounded by forests, the space will be designed to bring in natural light and views of the outdoors.
CONCEPT BRANDING
The concept behind the design of the lake house is to create a space for family and friends to gather together. Due to the home being situated on a lake surrounded by forests, the space will be designed to bring in natural light and views of the outdoors. The overall feeling will be clean and uncluttered and will satisfy the client's expectations.

Since the owner had elderly parents, ADA accessibility and compliance with building codes and regulations is required. No structural changes were to be made to the building.
